Stay on Target - Disco Vader II

This Thursday evening I took part in Kirton Games Disco Vader II tournament as a warm up to Regionals.  The last time I entered the tournament I used my Denger themed scum list so this time I thought I’d use one of my Rebel lists to see how it fared up (As hopefully this will help me to decided which list to go for in Regionals). 

This is what I went with…

My Squadron

Over the course of the tournament I played 3 games, the first of which was against a “Brobots” IG88 list.  Somehow I managed to win this game though the Outrider was destroyed the two Y-wings hung on until the end.  That was a good start.

The second game I didn’t do so well.  I was up against the new Falcon with Rey piloting and Finn as crew and Poe in Black One (both from the Heroes of the Resistance pack) and, well they tabled me! I must admit that you can get some nice builds with that set and they can make a fearsome opponent to deal with.  I’m going to have to get myself a copy of that expansion! 

My final game of the night was against 3 X-Wings which included Luke, Biggs and Wedge.  I wasn’t going into that game very confident but somehow (Mainly through luck and a few mistakes) I ended up winning the game and not loosing a single ship (Though they were all down to 1 hull point by the end).  

 

This meant that I finished 5^th in the end, not bad at all (last time I finished 4^th with my scum list).

Now it’s onto deciding what to go with for regionals.  I have two lists that work well for me it’s just deciding which to go for, or do I do a completely new list?  Decisions, decisions.
